You’ll find year-round recreational opportunities in the surrounding wilderness areas. Cody is only 52 miles from the East Entrance to Yellowstone National Park and easy access to Grand Teton National Park. In the mountains and national forests close by, there is blue ribbon fly-fishing, big game hunting, touring incredible scenery and hiking, to name only a few adventures. Some of the sights to take in are the Buffalo Bill Historical Center and the Old Trail Town.
Events
The Old West is alive and well in Cody, Wyoming! During the summer, you can see exciting re-enactments of wild-west shootouts. One of the main attractions is the Cody Nite Rodeo that takes place each night during June, July and August. July Fourth weekend is filled with entertainment, with the Cody Stampede Rodeo and lots of family fun.
