Join us for a FREE Ranger led hike at the Fishing Bridge and Lake Village area. Sign up at any visitor center before hand is required.
Avalanche Peak Experience 8 am, Saturday's from June 13th to Sept 6th.
For a truly “breathtaking” encounter with the wild side of Yellowstone, make the steep
ascent to the knife-edged summit of Avalanche Peak (10,566 ft/3,221 m). Your efforts
will be rewarded with one of the most stunning panoramic views of Yellowstone. Enjoy
this peak experience!
Difficulty Strenuous (Elevation gain: 2100 ft/650 m)
Duration 6 hours
Total Distance 4 miles/6.4 km
Type of Trail Out and back; maintained, steep trail. Hikers afraid of heights may be
uncomfortable on the summit portion.
