Park County Fair
If you are visiting the Greater Yellowstone area in late July, be sure to mark the Park County Fair on your calendar. Held every year in Cody, Wyoming, the Park County Fair celebrates all things agricultural and includes events your entire family will enjoy.
The Park County Fair honors the agrarian culture of the American West, showcasing all varieties of stock including horses, beef and milk cattle, pigs, poultry and sheep. In addition to stock, exhibitions are held for such diverse activities as canning, fine arts and textiles. The Park County Fair, like most agricultural fairs held throughout the country, is a community gathering that helps to foster the farming and home traditions passed down from generation to generation. It is symbol of our heritage that honors the skills that helped to build our nation.
Of course, if you're looking for action, there is no shortage of adrenaline pumping rides at the carnival Midway or thrills and spills at the demolition derby. Family friendly activities include the dog and cat shows, a pig wrestling competition, chuckwagon races and Kid's Day Races and the Park County Parade.
