Cody, Wyoming is the gateway to the eastern entrance to Yellowstone National Park. In addition to the scenic drive between Cody and the Park, the scenic drive between Cody and the small little community of Cooke City, Montana is spectacular. There is much to see and to do in the immediate vicinity of Cody including hiking, biking, fishing, wildlife viewing, and rafting.
All the campgrounds in Cody and along the roads leading into and out of town are equipped with special sites for tents and/or car camping. The majority of these campgrounds include full hookups, restrooms, shower houses, and laundry facilities. If you have been in the backcountry and are just looking for a place to get a hot shower and possibly do a load of laundry, check with the proprietors of the campground. You should be able to use their restroom, shower houses and laundromat for a minimal fee.
Other possibilities for getting a hot shower include the public swimming pool and the local health club. If you are just passing through and want to do your laundry, Cody has two laundromats – Eastgate Laundry and Cody's Laundromat.
