Cody, Wyoming can accommodate any backcountry camping need. If you like to put up your tent by a river and rough it – or would rather pull your state of the art motor home into a fully equipped RV park, you can find it in Cody Country.

You can find areas in the backcountry that will allow you to get away from it all. Here you can enjoy the solitude of nature, the pristine atmosphere of unspoiled wilderness and the satisfaction that you know that you can survive with minimal supplies.

Of course, you can also find commercial campgrounds, complete with all the amenities including swimming pools. Some of the campgrounds are located near bodies of water and have boat ramps and picnic areas. You can also camp in the Shoshone National Forest or Yellowstone National Park. If you want a great experience, you may want to contact an outfitter who can help you pack into some of the more remote areas for camping.

At most of the state and federal areas, fees are charged. Make sure that you are familiar with all the rules and regulations.
