Overview: The Cody Stampede and Rodeo is an annual event which sees the best cowboys and cowgirls converging to take part in an exciting mix of bareback riding, steer wrestling, bull riding and much more. Its roots go back to the Western ranch contests and provide excitement and intense competition inspired by the West West shows produced by the famous "Buffalo Bill".
When: The Cody Stampede and Rodeo take place during the July 4th weekend, usually a three or four-day event depending on the year.
Where: The main event takes place at Cody Rodeo Grounds, Northwestern Wyoming, Nightly performances are held at Cody Nite Rodeo
